Local visualization of state spaceIn a neighborhood of an equilibrium with a few unstable direction the dynamics is effectively low dimensional. Particulary intriguing is the fact that UB, the upper branch equilibrium has only a complex eigenvalue pair within the S-invariant subspace. We next show a trajectory initiated close to UB projected on the corresponding eigenvector plane, together with a conveniently chosen third direction normal to that plane. |
