There are two versions of the webbook, a public one

ChaosBook.org
which displays only the polished, publishable text. DO NOT USE THIS VERION FOR EDITING.

ALWAYS edit only the complete, editing version of the text:

ChaosBook.org/boyscouts/chapters
Print out this version of the chapter you are editing. You do not want to print the whole thing (1300 pages!) but please do scan through other parts of interest to you.

You can start working on any chapter at any time. Before starting to enter edits, always make sure you have the current version:

cd  ~/dasbuch   (root directory)
svn_tunnel -b cnsuser
svn up
When the day's edits (or edits up to the lunch break) are entered, always
cd  ~/dasbuch   (root directory)
svn ci -m"explanatory summary of edits"
Do not wait for another day. Subversion will take care of harmonizing all edits, but frequent check-ins cost nothing and minimize chance of colliding edits.
